When we backed Kabuni, we believed we were investing in something that could genuinely change how the next generation of cricketers learns, trains, and grows. This month, at Kabuni's first-ever Playtime 2026 event in Mumbai, that vision became very real — and the Times of India took notice.

Kabuni has officially launched its AI-powered cricket coaching platform, built around Kabuni PlayOS — the company's proprietary technology that analyses player movement in real time, evaluating timing, balance, alignment, footwork and sequencing to deliver coaching feedback previously only available inside elite academies. All of it, now accessible from a smartphone.

The platform launched alongside a headline-grabbing lineup of Super Coaches: cricketing legends Sourav Ganguly, AB de Villiers, Shane Watson, and Shreyas Iyer. These are not endorsements in name only — they are integral to what Kabuni is building, lending their performance data and expertise to an AI system designed to replicate the structured training that shapes champions.

"India has more cricket talent than any coaching system can currently reach. Kabuni is changing that equation — using AI to put world-class coaching in the hands of every young player, wherever they are. As a huge cricket fan myself, seeing Kabuni on stage in Mumbai, covered by the Times of India, with some of cricket's greatest names standing behind what they've built is a real moment of personal pride and excitement."

The ambition is clear and it is bold. As Kabuni founder Nimesh Patel put it at the launch: "For too many young cricketers in India, the biggest barriers are access to high-quality coaching, competitive pathways, and consistent development. Kabuni is designed to change that."

Alongside the platform, Kabuni unveiled its nationwide campaign "Do You Want to Play for a Legend?" — giving players aged 12 to 16 the chance to train on the platform, compete in regional and national trials, and earn selection into squads led by the Super Coaches themselves. Cricket has always had talent sitting undiscovered in towns and cities far from the spotlight. Kabuni is building the infrastructure to find it.

Kabuni has chosen India as its first market — the world's largest cricket-playing community — with international expansion planned for later this year. Mavencorp Capital is proud to be on this journey with them from the very beginning.
