Mavencorp Capital is proud to share that Bioma, our portfolio company operating at the frontier of diagnostics, health, and wellbeing, has been selected as part of the UK government's sovereign AI call for autonomous labs — in partnership with Freyr Health.

This is a significant recognition. Being shortlisted for a government-led sovereign AI initiative places Bioma in a select group of organisations whose technology and clinical testing services are considered capable of scoping, validating, and implementing the next generation of autonomous laboratory infrastructure across the UK.

Bioma's inclusion in this programme reflects the strength of its diagnostic infrastructure and its growing reputation as a real-world health technology validation site — a position it has been deliberately building through partnerships with organisations across the UK, Asia, and the GCC.

"Bioma is doing something genuinely difficult — building clinical infrastructure that is flexible enough to work across markets and rigorous enough to meet the standards of the UK's most demanding institutional partners. Being selected for the government's sovereign AI autonomous labs programme is a reflection of the quality of the team and the seriousness of what they're building. We couldn't be more proud to back them."

Bioma's current strategic focus spans Asia and the GCC, where demand for UK-accredited clinical services is particularly strong. This government selection anchors their credibility firmly at home, with international reach to follow.

Mavencorp Capital continues to back founders building infrastructure that matters — in healthcare, in technology, and at the intersection of both.
